- When typing in correct format, you use your ring finger to strike letter X.
- Xanthan is found in many foods today, especially gluten-free foods. It is a bacteria-produced gum typically derived from corn.
- In Elizabethan times, the word Xanthippe meant to yearn.

DeleteDo you mean that you strike the X-key with your ring finger? I suppose that it is most efficient - I either strike it with the ring or middle finger, depending on how fast my hands are flying.

The idea is believed to have come from mathematician René Descartes, who used the last three letters of the alphabet to represent unknown quantities in his book The Geometry. He chose a, b, and c to stand for known quantities.
